I am a class teacher, currently working in year 6 and I am also literacy co-ordinator and Assistant Headteacher. I am passionate about making teaching and learning fun to ensure that children gain memorable experiences at school that will still be with them long after they have left. Enthusing children and creating within them a love of and thirst for learning is what educating is all about!
I have made rapid progress in terms of my professional development within these early stages of my career. I am currently a class teacher, a subject co-ordinator, Assistant Headteacher and a lead teacher within the local authority.
Science, history and literacy. I enjoy teaching collaborative approaches to learning in all subjects, this facilitates talk for learning amongst pupils, raising their confidence, self-esteem and as a result, the levels of progress achieved.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family, particularly my two young children. We like to be outdoors, exploring the countryside and embarking on new adventures together. As lovers of animals we regularly visit farm parks and are keen to observe local wildlife. We are a sociable family and we enjoy being surrounded by our families and friends.
