Having worked in education for 15 years I have extensive experience in teaching children in EYFS/KS1 and in leading English. As a Head and Deputy I have had significant impact in leading underperforming schools through change to develop teaching, learning and outcomes.
I have a BEd (Hons) with a specialism in English from Homerton College, Cambridge. I also hold Aspiring Leader and Middle Leader Qualifications from the National College for Teaching and Leadership.
I am passionate about making a difference to children's lives and committed to developing excellence in education through high quality and enriched learning experiences. I believe that all children deserve an education that drives lifelong learning and it is this that motivates me.
I specialise in both English and Leadership and have a particular interest in building the confidence and capacity of subject and middle leaders to develop exemplary practice. Throughout my career I have built high expectations within schools to bring about significant change in teaching, learning and outcomes for children.
I thoroughly enjoy music and perform with a choir at a variety of events in the local area. I also enjoy going to the theatre and concerts along with spending time with my family and friends walking in the countryside.
