What gets me out of bed in the morning is knowing I have opportunities to make a positive difference in the lives of young people through supporting and challenging school leaders, including governors. I love facilitating learning for individuals, small and larger groups with particular emphasis on exemplary educational leadership and governance.
Well, if you could see me now you would realise I have many years experience and 40 years of it is in education! I have taught nursery, primary and secondary aged young people in a wide range of contexts including the private sector, high and low socioeconomic, monocutural and multicultural. I have had many years school leadership experience including subject leadership ( English, Music), Phase Leadeship (KS1, KS2), Deputy Headship (Primary), Headship (Middle School amalgamation with First School & Large Urban Multicultural Primary and Nursry School). 10 years experience of senior leadership in a local authority (Children's Services), Service Leader, Education Standards and Governance.
